Officer Alan White



         In 1993 the Clare Police in cooperation with the Clare Public Schools started a School Liaison Officer Position.  This position started off as a part-time position and in 1998 it became a full-time one.  At the time and still to this day Officer White is in that role.  Officer White is a certified D.A.R.E Officer and continues to teach it to Clare students today.

         Officer White has been instrumental in handling numerous child sexual abuse cases since becoming the School Liaison Officer.  Officer Whites teamwork approach to investigating these crimes has dynamical increased the conviction rate for arrested child predators.  Working with Officers from all over the state including the MSP Youth Services Unit, Clare County School Liaison Officers establishing an information and investigation network. 

         Officer White continues today increasing the awareness of child abuse and sexual assault training Officers, Social workers, teachers and family service workers in the method used by predators of such crimes.  His aggressive investigation and apprehension of people who commit these crimes has made the city of Clare, Clare Public Schools and its children safer from them.
